In the company of
Michel Calmon, member of the
FNEHAD board of directors and expert at
ANAP, the delegation was able to understand the challenges of insurance systems in the United States by studying their organisation, financing methods and expected developments.
Through visits to major Silicon Valley players such as the independent non-profit company
Catalyze and the medical insurance leader
Blueshield, the
UCSF Center for Digital Health Innovations,
On Lok, the
Center for Care Innovations and
CISCO Healthcare, the delegation was able to discover the innovations that will shape tomorrow's healthcare systems in order to anticipate their impact on organizational and managerial levels. Meeting major players from Silicon Valley also enabled participants to better understand the challenges of the technological revolution underway.
Participants had the opportunity to visit hospitals and healthcare providers at the forefront of architectural, organisational and technological modernity, such as
UCSF Medical Center,
John Muir Health Medical Center,
Marin Health Medical Center and
Kaiser Permanente Healthcare Group.
This international study mission led the participants to analyse the strategies used by the American health system to respond to the imperatives of cooperation on a territorial scale.
