From May 26th through 31st of 2013 a seminar titled “The healthcare system in France by example of private, commercial and municipal hospitals of the city” was held in Paris, France.
The organizers of the seminar invited leaders of City Department of Health and directors of renowned medical institutions of various forms of ownership to participate in the event.
While visiting the Directorate of Union of Government Hospitals and Hôpital Bichat – Claude-Bernard, delegates were introduced to the healthcare system in France, the organization of emergency medical services in the city of Paris and the structure and principles of public healthcare institutions. Also, the participants discussed the possibilities and prospects of the Franco-Russian cooperation in the healthcare sector.
Just as useful, was a visit to a private hospital “Hopital Foch ” and the private medical center “Porte de Saint-Cloud”. Guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the principles of organization and operation of private medical institutions and their position and role in the healthcare system in France.
An important event during the study tour was the visit to the exhibition for healthcare professionals. During the visit, the participants were acquainted with the latest materials and equipment used in treatment of patients and technology and innovation in healthcare.
The delegation included 24 participants consisting of managers and chief physicians of public and private hospitals in different regions of Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
By all accounts, the education tour was extremely interesting and will surely bring practical benefits.
